National Bureau of Investigation personnel arrested Francis Leo Marcos on Tuesday following the viral Wealth challenge on social media.
Marcos was arrested on a warrant of arrest in connection with a case he faces in Baguio City for alleged violation of optometry law.
Aside from the organization’s complaint, Marcos has other pending cases, Lorenzo said.
Marcos first met online at the “Wealthy Challenge” where he encouraged neighbors in a subdivision of the rich to help the poor amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
