New dorm built by DPWH for Quezon health workers
The temporary dormitory for medical health workers in Quezon City where they no longer have to return to distant places has finally been completed.
The Department of Public Works and Highways built the dormitory for the medical personnel of the Lung Center of the Philippines located in the hospital compound of Quezon City.
For Lung Center doctors, nurses and other medical staff, they do not have to travel home anymore and they are tired of treating patients affected by COVID-19.
Each dormitory can accommodate 32 personnels. Each dorm cluster has 16 air-conditioned rooms and also has a double-decker bed for two people. Each room also has a toilet and bath with heater.
The dorm can also be used as an isolation room in case there is staff under monitoring or medical staff.
There is also a living room, complete with TV and sofa, common dining, laundry and kitchen with appliances.
According to Sec. Mark Villar, the government is helping to alleviate the daily life of medical workers by providing two units of ‘We Heal As One Offsite Dormitory for Medical Personnel’.
